Securing Access to APIs with API Manager | Friends of Max Overview

APIs have become a strategic necessity for businesses. They can be the cornerstone for driving agility and innovation in an organization. However, many organizations are struggling to balance the opportunity with the risk of unauthorized access of the valuable information that these APIs expose.

According to Gartner, by 2022, API abuses will be the most-frequent attack vector for enterprise web applications data breaches. It is easy to see why many IT decision makers today are concerned about API security.

A secure API is one that only exposes its data to users, apps, and servers who are authorized to consume it. We will look at the out of the box ways API manager can be used to validate incoming requests, and provide verified identities to the calling apps and users so the API only returns the appropriate data to the appropriate consumer.

For an in depth look and hands-on experience managing and deploying APIs on Anypoint Platform™ (whether on the cloud or using the Private Cloud Edition) we suggest enrolling in this course: https://training.mulesoft.com/course/operations-api-management
